Apparently its been four years since miss da minx and I have been running these little shindigs, and to be fair i can barely remember any of them so that suggests we’ve had a pretty good time!!
…..

For the fourth year in succession, Chix in da Mix and Richie Balboa, formerly Social, team up for a one day extraordinaire; bringing you a 12 hours of 12 DJ’s (girls ‘n’ boys) for an unmissable event of summer madness.

Hawaiian theme is back on popular demand! We present Sunset Showdown – Lockside Lounge’s opening party of summer full of BBQs!

Although the name suggests that it’s a battle for supremacy, we wouldn’t want you to think that it’s all clawing, biting and kung fu fighting. More, it’s our own personal battle to bring you the highest quality music from some fantastic DJ’s, following the sun go down, down, down baby!

This year you will hear some originals players and producers – Move Ya, famed for his production with Steve Lavers, and Tamsin, the third of TCR’s legendary Breakneck. Showdown hosts in the meantime advanced in their careers – Richie Balboa won The best new DJ at Breakspoll international awards, Mini Da Minx with her second release on Sokolov Records and second year running gig at Glastonbury. Mixing in residents Anna B and Kid Chameleon and adding some fresh new blood, which is rocking dancefloors around UK – lively trio Force of Habit and Sugarbeat’s Toni Jarvis, 101 Connection, Flange vs Battenberg and Finny – that is a perfect combination.

In last 4 years we have gained a reputation for creating a relaxed, fun filled experience with a friendly atmosphere with a twist.
We are dressing up Hawaiian style, this year we provide the costumes. Greet summer with sexilicious punch from Chairman’s rum shack on the terrace.

Lockside Lounge won the Camden Readers Choice Best Bar None award! It has a cool and open dance floor with a large terrace with plenty of seating. And don’t forget the BBQ and cocktail bar, which overlook the picturesque Camden canal. Starting at 3pm, it’s FREE entry till 8pm and then £3 thereafter. For any queries email to ash@nsbradio.co.uk.
Get down early not to miss opportunity to get in!

Digitalesque Delights proudly present:

FAR TOO LOUD

Far Too Loud, a.k.a. Oli Cash, has gained a significant reputation in dance music for quality, dancefloor-destroying production. Originally rooted in breakbeat, the FTL sound was quickly recognized as being something different through the influence of other styles of dance music. Over the past four years the sound has developed and diversified but maintained the mix of hard-hitting beats, dirty basslines, detailed production and twisted sound design that has set FTL apart from the rest. This is evident from the full-on tech-breaks monster “Get High”, which was awarded Best Single at Breakspoll 2007, to the electro mix of Lily Allen’s “Not Fair”, which was liked so much that it became part of Lily’s live show and another remix was subsequently commissioned. 2009 saw FTL change from duo to solo act with original member Dom Smart leaving to concentrate on a new solo venture. Now under the sole direction of Oli, who has already singularly produced key FTL tracks and is no stranger to working solo under the name, the act is as strong as ever with plenty of exciting things to come!

RICHIE BALBOA

2010 has already been a landmark year for Richie Balboa as he won the Breakspoll best breakthrough DJ category at the International Breakbeat Awards at Fabric, London. He followed this up with a DJ set at matter the next night lining up against the likes of The Stanton Warriors, Kool Keith, Miss Dynamite and Adam Freeland. The immediate future see’s him co-hosting his own event at the Miami Winter Music Conference and touring South America before returning to the UK for the festival season. In a little under two years he has DJ’d all over the UK, USA, Asia and Europe sharing a stage with the likes of DJ Zinc, The Freestylers, A Skillz, Jurassic 5, Krafty Kuts, Rusko, Tayo, DJ Deekline and the Stanton Warriors.
As well as a busy live schedule he podcasts for Juno ‘the world’s largest music online dance music store’ and his Juno Download Breakbeat podcast is the highest charting breakbeat podcast on Itunes and is in the top 50 of the music chart. He also manages NSB Radio, the World’s largest breakbeat radio station and has lead it to win the Breakspoll international award for best radio station award 2008, 2009 and 2010 and become the first and only completely live breakbeat radio station. this also hosts events at the Winter Music Conference Miami and Glade Festival; the UK’s number 1 dance music festival.

MONK3YLOGIC

Producers of cutting edge electro fueled beats and baselines – precision build ups, psychedelic tech sounds and pumping baselines are fundamental parts to the exciting new sound of Monk3ylogic. The Monk3ylogic duo consists of Will Bolam and Mike Connell, both experienced performers and regulars on the underground scene. Together they pump out unique DJ sets and energetic live abelton performances across the UK. Attention to detail in their tunes and their live act have helped to grab the attention of many as Monk3ylogic forge there path through the underground scene. Following their debut performance at Waveform Festival in September 2009 Monk3ylogic played at many parties across the UK in late 2009 and with some big bookings already confirmed 2010 promises to be an exciting year.

THE EVIL HYPNOTIST

Raised on a diet of classical, traditional jazz and organ music, it was clear from the start that The Evil Hypnotist would follow a musical path. This early exposure to different influences spawned his eclectic taste and ear for a melody. Although his parents consider his syncopated beats and electronic basslines “a dreadful racket”, clubbers have tended to disagree. As a result, The Evil Hypnotist has found himself spinning all over the south of England alongside house and breakbeat luminaries such as James Holden, Adam Freeland, Justin Robertson, Herve & A-Skillz.

http://www.myspace.com/the_evil_hypnotist1

We are still waiting on confirmation from one DUBSTEP tune spinner! Keep ya eyes peeled

Fun times ahoy!
